Seth Fuller Sixth in NYDKS Opener

Geneva, N.Y. - Seth Fuller and the Fuller Racing Team got on the track in race trim for the first time outdoors in 2012 this weekend, competing in the New York Dirt Kart Series (NYDKS) Opener at Paradise Speedway in Geneva, N.Y.

The 13-year-old showed plenty of speed but had to fight off clutch issues in the feature event and wound up in sixth position at the checkers.

"Our clutch guard came loose and it was hitting the clutch," Seth said after the race. "We were in good shape until that happened. Our Predator Chassis was running good all day. We came from 8th in the heat and won and I thought we had a good shot at the feature as well. Thank you to my family and all those who help me make my racing dream happen. It was good to get back on the track finally! We'll take what today gave us and get ready for the PDKS race next weekend."

The next race for Seth and the team will be at Trail-Way Speedway in Hanover, PA as the Pennsylvania Dirt Kart Series (PDKS) attempts to throw its first racing green flag of the season on May 6th with the Speed Demon Shootout.

Seth Fuller picks up hardware at PDKS Banquet

Grantville, Pa. - It took until February of 2012, but Seth Fuller's 2011 PDKS (Pennsylvania Dirt Kart Series) season officially came to a close at this past weekend's awards banquet held in Grantville, Pa.

The 13-year-old picked up a pair of trophies for his efforts in what is largely considered to be the toughest regional dirt track go-kart racing series in the nation.  He finished fourth in points in the Junior 2 Lite division and fifth in Junior 2 Heavy.

"I think we had a really good season overall," Seth said.  "Lance (Yeager, his crew chief) and I got along really good and he helped me get a lot better as a driver.  The PDKS has a lot of top racers and this year it's going to be even bigger.  There are people who race big cars that come back and race this series during the year so it's not easy to win a race in."

Seth has done some indoor racing this winter, but he's looking forward to getting back outdoors on dirt and to focusing his whole season on racing his Predator Chassis.

"I liked my Slack Chassis kart just fine," clarified the teenager.  "But Mr. Straub has been really good to us and the Predator is so much fun to race.  I am hoping we have two of them this year in case something happens so we don't end up not being able to race.  I love racing on dirt.  PDKS is a huge series and our goal is definitely to win a championship for Predator."

The anxious racer will get his first opportunity to put the hammer down when the PDKS opens its 2012 season at Selingsgrove Speedway in Selingsgrove, Pa.  "I love that track," smiled Seth.  "I can't wait to get there and go racing!"
